STANBIC Bank Tanzania has scooped the Best Investment Bank 2016 Award at The Banker Africa Awards held in Nairobi, Kenya on Tuesday.Stanbic Bank was voted the Best Investment Bank 2016 in Tanzania by a panel consisting financial industry experts and peers from the banking industry in the region.
“This is a major endorsement of Stanbic Bank’s expertise and capabilities in spurring investment within Tanzania and the region. We have in-depth understanding of the unique conditions, opportunities and challenges that come with operating in the region, where macroeconomic stability along with institutional and policy reforms are supporting strong development.’’ Said Ken Cockerill, Stanbic Bank Tanzania’s Chief Executive Officer.
He revealed that the main drivers of growth in the country are telecommunications, transport, financial intermediation, manufacturing, construction, and trade.“Stanbic bank works by understanding all players in the sector value chain and leveraging the global expertise of sector doyens and product specialists at a group level to develop tailor made solutions for our clients across the continent. Stanbic Bank Uganda and CFC Stanbic Kenya were also named best investment bank in their respective countries.Last year, EMEA Finance also named Stanbic Bank Tanzania best investment bank in Tanzania, Uganda and Kenya among other countries where the bank has representation.
